The Missing Drop

Watching the new permaculture farmers work, I understand now, it’s about our hands. And how that connects us with the earth, and how that connection makes us happy. Maybe that’s why we never tire of playing with sand on a beach or turn soil with bare hands. It still doesn’t make it easier. Change, I mean. I have a muddy head tonight.

From Mother Theresa:

We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.
We can do no great things, only small things with great love.

Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you.

Do not wait for leaders. Do it alone, person-to-person.
