Moonriver Lodge officially has a new resident – Webby the duck!
Visitors to our lodge will find Webby swimming happily around our pond, sunbathing on a rock and cleaning her feathers. As it is currently the monsoon season, we’ve built a little house by the pond for Webby to take shelter from the rain and wind. We’ve also put some catfish in the pond so they can “clean up” Webby’s poop.
Fun fact about ducks: Ducks are good for gardens as they eat snails and slugs which feed on your plants.
When you visit us, take some time to feed it some bread or else Webby will steal food from our cats when she gets hungry.
As Webby seems a little lonely on her own, we will get her a male companion. Hopefully then we’ll be able to enjoy fresh duck eggs.
