“Nestled up in the mountains, Moonriver was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The beds are clean and comfortable, and it gets nice and chilly at night for sleeping. I slept almost 9 hours a night! It was exactly what I needed. This is the kind of place you visit and absorb. There is no cell reception or wifi at the lodge, so you start to notice other things. I made friends with a rabbit in the keyhole garden, and read about plants in the library. I would recommend Moonriver as an authentic farm stay for those okay with being off grid for a little while. I hope to come back one day!”

“We wanted to avoid the maddening rush in the Cameron Highlands during the long weekend, and so chose this place, which is just a short drive from Cameron, in Lojing in the nearby Segar Highlands. The Moonriver Lodge is situated within a Farm, run by Nancy & Albert Khoo & their ever-helpful staff. It’s a beautifully landscaped property, spread across several acres of land, with flowering bushes & fruit trees. The rooms are basic, with built in furniture and minimalist decor, and shared bathrooms. But very clean & well maintained. The provide large common spaces for dining, relaxing, and even a BBQ area. Mamali keeps the rooms and the grounds well maintained and clean, while Ruby helps prepare healthy local meals. And the best part is that there’s no phone or wifi connectivity at the place – so you have no choice but to enjoy the beautiful surroundings! A great place to visit with friends and family for a short trip”

“I like to tell you how much my family and I loved the lodge and the homestay with you. Moon River is very lovely, and well kept and we will definitely recommend to our friends. I believe that because of our stay at the lodge, it made our Cameron Highland trip so special. We were all very excited to see Rafflesia, and elated to hear the rooster waking us up every morning. The kids loved the space very much too, and not forgetting the swings. Without WIFI available is definitely a good idea so that we relearn how to live our lives without our phones. We are all full of praises for the lodge. Rubie was such a fantastic host to us and we loved her home cooked food very much.
